The Sustainable Development Goals include a focus on achieving good health and well-being, and among the most important challenges to achieving this goal is the spread of drugs and their harmful effects on the individual and society. Despite the efforts made to combat drugs, this phenomenon still poses a major challenge in many countries.
Effective solutions depend on a combination of strategies, including awareness and education about the dangers of drugs and their negative impact on health, social and economic life. Awareness efforts include sending strong, clear messages about the danger posed by drugs, and encouraging individuals to make healthy decisions and avoid drug use.
In addition to awareness, social and educational programs that enhance individuals' life skills, such as enhancing self-confidence, developing problem-solving skills and making sound decisions, must be strengthened. Psychological and social support must also be provided to individuals suffering from addiction problems, and treatment and rehabilitation opportunities must be provided to them. This is to achieve the sustainable development goals of achieving good health and well-being. This awareness campaign is an important step in the college’s endeavors to create a conscious and responsible generation that understands the challenges facing society and confronts them with strength and determination.
